Recumbent exercise bicycles

There are two types of basic exercise bikes, the up-right and the recumbent exercise bike. The first type looks like a standard road bike and (as the name says it) you can exercise on it while ridding in an up- right position. The second type, recumbent exercise bicycle is different because the seat puts the person in a sitting position, the handlebars are close the arms and you need to stretch your legs to reach the pedals.

Among experts there are different views on that which bike gives a better exercise. They say that the up right bikes give a better workout because they are much more strenuous exercise. But the recumbent bike is also good because you don’t have any back pain and offers a comfort that the up-right bicycle will never give.

In my personal opinion I think that it is best if you buy a recumbent bicycle. The recumbent bicycle allows you comfort while ridding it and it protects you from a possible back pain. So if you are a beginner it is best if you buy a recumbent exercise bicycle and if you happen to have back pains but you still want to continue exercising it will be best if you buy a recumbent exercise bicycle. In the end I would like to emphasize that the recumbent bicycle is much cheaper than any other training device.

The most popular recumbent exercise bicycle is Marcy PL-43231 Recumbent Magnetic Resistance Bike (at least on Amazon and Wall mart) and you can get that bike for $195. Another recumbent exercise bicycle is the Pro Form GR 80. This exercise bike offers four programs a grip pulse sensor and a target racer which can tell you when you are over your heart rate zone.

In the bit more expensive zone we find the Schwinn 230 for about $450 and the Schwinn 231 for $550. These bikes are ranked great by the buyers like because of their 300 pound weight endurance and their quiet running. Also another brand that offers recumbent bicycles is the Epic 420R recumbent bike which can be bought for $500.
For the grand finale I leave you with Spirit XBR25 for $1200. This bike has a 20 resistance levels, 8 programs, LCD console, adjustable seat at 16 positions and a 350 pound weight limit.

Normally there are more expensive recumbent bicycles that go up to $3000. In my own view, you don’t have to buy the most expensive one on the market. Depending on your budget you can choose from a variety of prices but most important is that with the recumbent exercise bicycle you‘ll get to work out in a comfortable and stainless way.
