Recumbent bike lovers proudly talk about how their bikes offer an enjoyable bike without pain. Lately the recumbent bicycle industry is getting bigger and bigger every day and much more people begin to fell in love with their recumbent bicycles.
It’s getting more evident that the American people are getting more into this comfortable recumbent bicycle ridding, for example in San Diego.
There are two stores in the San Diego area that I would like to single out. These two shops are the only ones that deal strictly with recumbent bicycles and have a very professional approach.
The firs shop is called Kirk’s Bike Shop. The shop was founded by Kirk Newell in 1977 when he was only 26 years old. He started with a small shop which grew in time and in 30 years it has become one of the biggest bike shops in the western United States. The owner himself is a recumbent tandem bicycle rider. In his shop Kirk offers any model of RUNS, LIGHTNING or SUN. If they don’t have it in the shop in the moment they can order the recumbent bike any time and have it ready for you in a week or two the most.
From the on-line offer at the moment Kirk’s shop offers Stratus LE; Stratus 700; VE-Rex LE; Lightning Phantom; Screamer and Screamer TR and Seavo and Seavo TR.
This is a company that is much younger that Kirk’s bike shop. The founder of the company is an environmentalist and believes in preserving the environment even the fossil oils. So that is why he put the names trikes and T-rex (the dinosaur) as his company names. He founded the company in 2006 and is a long time recumbent driver. At the moment there is a sell going on in the shop and these are some of the models and prizes that are offered.
2008 LEPUS COMFORT for the price of $4900. Also you can find LEPUS 2007 for the price of $4000, also I must emphasize that you can fold this bike too which make it easy for storage. 2009 KETTWIESEL FAST for $5400. Also you have this bike in white with upgrades for $4800. This I think is great for beginners 2009 GT-1 for only $1800.
