Michigan Bike Trail Maps
Being the largest state west of the Mississippi River; four lakes of all five in the Great Lakes Region are part of his geography, Michigan counts it bike trails to be over 240. It is one of the best states in the US where you can your urge for cycling experience.

A Map of The Potawatomi Trail will lead you to probably the oldest bike trail “in the book”. It’s a marked trail combining loose gravel and rocks; passes beside couple of lakes; and crossing a small section of Halfmoon Lake over wooden bridge. The trail is a single track of 17.5 mile.
A Map of Bald Mountain Loops at Lake Orion has a trail along inland lakes and creeks; sand traps; rocky downhill; and a couple of steep hills. It’s a beautiful 4,600 acres of park away from civilization. Do not be alarmed by the gun noise that you may hear; it comes from a shooting range near by. Mileage of the route is a single track of 7.5 miles with double track of 0.2 miles (which is the North Loop); and a single track of 3, 8 miles with a double track of 0.2 miles (which is the South Loop).

A Map of Fort Custer Recreation Area, Augusta is a multi trail system of 16 miles with many loops. The Red Loop has many challenges like steeper up hills and logs. Green loop is next to the Eagle Lake with a steep climb and crossing over two shallow creeks. The trails without obstacles are in Yellow and Blue loops.
A Map of Brighton Recreation Area Loops, Brighton trails a route of 12.7 miles with a capability to reach driving pace to the very edge. It’s quite challenging though for pushing to the limit; if the proper gear is not in place there is a chance you have to get off the bike and finish the up-hill carrying the bike. Couple of rocks and logs will spice up your driving skills.

A Map of Stony Creek Loop, Utica – trails a 14 mile route with grassy meadows, wide double tracks and tight single tracks. After climbing the route, the route continues down-hill with banked switchbacks.
A Map of Holdridge Lakes Loops, Holly is a 24.3 miles combination of three loops. The North loop, driving through tall grasses, is great for beginners; The West loop is good for intermediate skilled riders; and the East Loop (also called Gruber’s Grinder) is suitable for advanced riders capable of dealing with tight turns. 4 foot log climbs and short switchbacks. If it’s too much for you, there are many places where you can bail out.

A Map of Mackinac Island Trails, Saint Ignace has the initial 1.2 miles filled with tranquility. After a steeply route along a cliff, you will have the chances of small glimpses to Lake Huron. It’s a marvelous place where motorized traffic is present. Ride carefully as there are horses that you might encounter along the track. You can also take on the paved road around the lake and enjoy views of Victorian homes from the late-1800s.
