Homemade bicycle lights

One of the most important parts that a one bicycle should have are lights. The lighting system of every bicycle is same: white light in the front, red in the back, and on the paddles orange light. All counties have restricted legislative for uses of bicycle lights. The conclusion is that you must have it.

If you could not afford it, you could make them at home. Here are several steps for you in order to make a bicycle light by yourself. Before starting out, I would like to tell you that there are three different setting on the light: slow blinking, fast blinking and constant on.

The first step that you should do is to protect yourself because you will be working with sharp objects, power tools, so my advice is to protect no matter how easy the process is looking. Then you will need materials that cost only a few dollars. You will need a halogen bulb, batteries, a wire, spring, zip ties and a tin.

The light system that I will present includes activation on the light by a pressing a switch. I recommend using a halogen bulb for more light. Now, remove both ends from the tin, clean out the tin and make a hole with a drill in one of the end caps. Next step is to modulate the switch on the handle bar with a help of a zip-tie. Then glue the watch crystal over the front of the bulb. With a wire cuter cut off the ends of the wire and after that connect the wire with a spring and then connect it with one of the terminals of the bulb. Now, slip a wire from the switch and run it through the hole of the cap and the spring. After this, twist the spring to the side above the fuse area.

Now, link the tip of the wire all the way through the other side of the spring. Fuse the end of the wire to the other side of the bulb. Now place the halogen light into one end of the tin, and from the other end pull the spring. After this, connect the other end of the wire to a battery connector. At the end, place the light on the bicycle. The stream of light should be looking at the ground in the front part of the bicycle.

This scheme is one of the simplest, and I could say that it is much pretty cheap. Most of the materials you may have in your garage, and the only thing you should do is to use them. This way you will save some money, but you would also learn how to make a bicycle light by yourself.
